NRA Responds to Sandy Hook Tragedy at D.C. Press Conference
"Every school in the United States should draw upon every resource available to erect a cordon of protection around our kids right now," NRA CEO and EVP Wayne LaPierre says at an NRA Press Conference in Washington, D.C., "The NRA is going to bring all of its knowledge, dedication and resources to develop a model National School Shield Emergency Response Program for every school that wants it." LaPierre announces that Former U.S. Congressman Asa Hutchinson will head the program. Originally aired 12/21/2012.
Announced in December 2012, the NRA School Shield program is focused on improving school security in an effort to help prevent national tragedies at educational institutions in America.
